Design & Consultation

Building Plans

We offer a collabarative, design and consultation service, where we will engage with you the client at every step of the process, to ensure that what we deliver is true to the original concept and is fit for purpose.

We install and maintain a wide range of electrical service and systems, such as:

  • LV distribution and switchgear

  • Controls and panel building

  • ATEX Dust atmospheres (see separate section)

  • Earthing

  • General lighting

  • Emergency lighting

  • LV power

  • Fire alarms

  • Cable management

  • Nurse call systems

Inspection & Testing

We undertake the testing and periodic inspections of emergency lighting, fire alarms and general condition surveys.

ATEX Dust Atmospheres

We are a NICEIC Atex combustible Dusts registered company. Karl is the company’s Hazardous area QS. He is a timed served Approved Electrician with over 35 years’ experience and a CompEX (classification 05-06) certified Inspector and installer.

 

We specialise in combustible dust environments, including design, install and certification of new installations, covering Zone classifications 20/21 &22.

 

All works comply with 18th Edition Regulations and BS-EN-60079 parts 10/14 and inspected to part 17. And covered by DSEAR Regulations 2002/SI 2002-2776.

Cox & Tyrer carry out all aspects of electrical installation services throughout the public and private sectors.

 

We offer design, installation and certification capability to our extensive client base.

 

We have a history of completing projects of differing complexity on time and within budgetary constraints.

 

We undertake electrical contracts varying from small works to contract values up to £800,000.00.

We aim to understand the needs of clients, meet their project delivery requirements and develop long standing relationships. To achieve this, our intention is to act in the clients interests and deliver excellence.

Our workforce has extensive knowledge of electrical matters and we are extremely proud of our ability to retain and develop our skills base. We have a well motivated and trained workforce in whom we continue to invest heavily in training and are pleased to announce that we continue to provide opportunities for local youngsters via JTL approved apprenticeships.

As can be seen from our accreditations section we have successful achieved compliance with a number of registration bodies.

Our organisation also has a strong emphasis on health and safety matters and work closely with external auditors to maintain and improve this critical and integral requirement of a successful business.
